Digg This Article We are entering a normal water year, kelps are coming back, and all eyes are on homeguard yellows, sand bass, and now WSB at the island; S. Bay Bass event coming up Jan. They are fished on the fall. Gierlach fished a mile outside Mission Bay midweek with friends on his Freedom Boat Club skiff and caught a big yellowtail while working baits for bass. He got a 32 pounder on the spinning tackle. We were able to boat one of them that went 28 pounds. A few days later, on Friday, he fished with Sergio Fainstein of Angler Chronicles TV and radio who took Gierlach up on the offer to go fish some local structure off of Huntington. We ended the day with around 80 mixed bass with a handful of quality ones.

Bahia Honda Slam Florida Sportsman member: DogDoc After a late night trip yesterday, we thought the best way to catch the midday outgoing tide while the winds allowed was to run up to Bahia Honda again. David and I bucked the east wind to reach the protection of the bridge, but found little relief from the wind and waves when we got there. The wind direction quartered the current, augmenting the waves and making it hard to keep baits where they needed to be.

June 21, – Stripers Still on Top! Wednesday, 21 June Surface feeding stripers have been reported from Wahweap Bay to Hite. The slurping schools are still feeding quickly and tend to go up and down often. Expect to see them anywhere and anytime. Since they are commonly feeding lakewide my goal today was to find out which lures caught the most fish.

Lake Camanche Fishing Report 8/24/18 Lake Camanche was showing an elevation of ′ and 84% full at the time of this report. The Lake continues to release at approx. C.F.S. while receiving approx. only 11 C.F.S from Pardee Lake again at the time of this report.

Positioned south of the Padre Island National Seashote, the beach has a tropical, green water wonderland appearance. The rain was persistent as we drove along Highway 77, making our way to South Padre Island. When we arrived, some five hours after loading up gear and topping off the fuel tanks in San Antonio, the rain had let up, though the lightning continued to accentuate the dunes against black of night.

When the moonlight broke through the clouds, the breaking waves caught the light, creating a rolling incandescence that was otherworldly. Deaver decided we ought to try to get some bait for the morning run, and everyone was pretty eager to get their lines in the water.
